Collaboration between Danish fashion designer Stine Goya and Finnish design legend Yrjö Kukkapuro at 3 days of design in Copenhagen highlights craftmanship and joyous color. A Finnish design legend teams up with another, when renowned Danish fashion designer and brand Stine Goya gives her interpretation of a classic Yrjö Kukkapuro chair – Moderno. The result is a chair that reads like a functional artwork: structured, graphic, and quietly expressive in its use of both colour, materials and composition. Moderno was one of the first chairs designed by professor Yrjö Kukkapuro, “the master of ergonomics” who is among the most well know Finnish designers with a career spanning over seven decades. The Moderno series has been in production already since the 1960’s by Finnish company Lepo Product.
